Responsibilities
Manage and review complex federal and state tax returns for individuals, businesses, partnerships, and trusts
Oversee tax planning strategies and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
Lead, mentor, and develop staff and senior accountants, including review of work and performance guidance
Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, providing proactive tax advice and solutions
Monitor deadlines, workflow, and staffing to ensure timely and accurate deliverables
Stay current on tax law changes and communicate implications to clients and internal teams
Collaborate with partners on client strategy, process improvements, and firm initiatives
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 5 years of public accounting tax experience, with prior experience at the manager level
Strong background in federal and New York state taxation
Proven ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines simultaneously
Experience reviewing returns and leading junior team members
CPA required (or in progress with strong experience considered)
Excellent communication, organization, and client-management skills
