Bilingual Job Developer (Spanish/English)

Easterseals Oregon is a progressive public not-for-profit organization dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities and underserved populations. The Bilingual Job Developer will assist individuals with disabilities in transitioning into the workforce by providing career planning, coaching, and support, while building relationships with local employers to secure job opportunities.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain relationships with employers to create job opportunities for program participants
Conduct employer outreach via site visits, phone calls, and networking events
Educate employers on the benefits of hiring individuals with disabilities and those who speak English as a second language
Ensure strong employer partnerships for ongoing job placement opportunities
Provide one-on-one coaching to participants in job readiness, application processes, and interview preparation
Support participants with on-the-job coaching to ensure job retention
Assist with identifying and addressing barriers to employment, such as transportation, work expectations, and accommodations
Conduct follow-ups with employers and participants to ensure a smooth transition into employment
Lead employment training workshops for participants
Act as a mentor to participants providing training and guidance
Develop customized job search strategies based on participant skills, interests, and employer needs
Collaborate with Lead Job developers, vocational rehabilitation counselors, and community partners
Maintain accurate case notes, employment records, and progress reports
Ensure compliance with Easterseals Oregon performance measures and funding requirements
Track job placement outcomes and retention rates to assess program effectiveness
Timesheet and expense report submission using ESO platforms and supervisor recommendations

Required

Bachelor's degree in human services, social services, psychology, rehabilitation, education, or a related field and at least 2 years of experience coordinating or administering programs that support individuals with disabilities, underserved populations, or English language learners
Associate's degree in human services or a related field and at least 3 years of experience coordinating or administering programs promoting the physical, psychosocial, or vocational well-being of individuals with disabilities or similar populations
At least 5 years of experience coordinating or administering programs that support individuals with disabilities, multicultural communities, or populations with employment barriers
Must embrace the mission, vision, and core values of Easterseals Oregon
Have excellent computer skills to accomplish duties
Must pass a criminal background check
Availability to work some evenings and some weekends as required
Must possess a current driver's license and pass a DMV background check
