Human Resources Intern
Ho-Chunk, Inc. is the award-winning economic development corporation of the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska. The HR Intern will support the Human Resources team with a focus on talent acquisition, onboarding, and compliance, providing hands-on experience in recruiting and HR project work.

Responsibilities
Source candidates through job boards, social media, and other recruitment platforms
Conduct initial screenings and assessments of potential candidates
Coordinate interviews and maintain candidate communications
Prepare and manage new hire paperwork and documentation
Ensure onboarding compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards
Contribute to talent acquisition and onboarding process improvement projects
Assist with the implementation of recruitment events and HR initiatives
Provide general administrative assistance to the HR team
Maintain accurate HR records and documentation in databases
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
Minimum GPA of 2.5
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management abilities
Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a dynamic environment
High level of discretion and ability to handle confidential information appropriately
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred
Familiarity with HR software and applicant tracking systems
Basic understanding of employment laws and HR compliance best practices
