Responsibilities

Execute all steps in the modeling process to produce high quality, reproducible results

Work with cyber security analysts, other data scientists, and data engineers to support the development of processes and technologies that solve cybersecurity problems

Lead and manage team members to produce holistic data science solutions leveraging best practices in development and data science

Define a problem statement that addresses cybersecurity requirements, develop an algorithmic approach to solving the problem, and execute data and algorithmic refinement to create a solution

Engage multiple stakeholders for data and operational access

Lead a team building a complete solution from data collection to action

Must be a US Citizen

Proficient in Python

Knowledgeable in at least two of the following scripting languages: Bash, PowerShell, JavaScript

Experience using version control systems such as Git

Ability to engage multiple stakeholders for data and operational access

Linux and Bash/Command Line experience

MS or PhD in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related technical field with 4+ years in Data Science related field

4+ years experience using statistical computer languages (R, Python, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets

Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks

Visualization skills using R, Python or other languages and frameworks

Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, etc.) and experience with applications

Experience performing data analysis including applying statistics

Maker mindset, coachable, and have an urge to learn/master new technologies and fields

Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking ability

Strong collaboration and communication skills within and across teams

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience presenting to large and small audiences

Up to 10% travel may be required

Preferred

Top Secret/SCI clearance eligible

Previous federal experience

Cloud experience, AWS preferred

Kubernetes and DevSecOps experience with CI/CD pipelines

DoD BigBang and/or PlatformOne experience

Elasticsearch

Neo4j or other graph databases

Airflow and/or other Data Engineering/Pipeline technologies

Experience with NLP technologies such as relationship extraction, transformers

Experience in Agile development methodologies

Analytics, Big Data, and other technical certification(s)

Software development background in general purpose languages such as Java, C#, Python, Go, Julia, C, C++, Rust, etc

Big Data Architecture experience

Cybersecurity knowledge/experience

4+ years experience developing and operating data platforms in support of Business Intelligence, Data Science, Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence and Cloud/Hybrid Computing
