This position involves preparing, analyzing, and reconciling general ledger accounts, managing month-end and year-end closings, and supporting internal and external audits.

Responsibilities

Prepare and post journal entries ensuring accurate and timely financial information

Reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts, including loan, investment, and deposit-related accounts

Review and verify daily general ledger transactions for accuracy and compliance

Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes

Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports

Assist with preparation of Call Reports and other regulatory filings

Support the Controller and CFO in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses

Review and monitor accruals, prepaid expenses, and fixed asset schedules

Ensure proper documentation and internal controls over financial reporting

Coordinate with external auditors, examiners, and internal audits to provide requested information and respond to inquiries

Assist in process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing accuracy, efficiency, and compliance

Maintain knowledge of current banking regulations, accounting standards, and industry trends
