IMO Leader
CompassMSP is seeking an IMO Leader to oversee post-acquisition integration activities across the organization. This role requires strong project and program management expertise to ensure seamless integration of newly acquired organizations into the Compass MSP operating model, collaborating with various functional leaders to drive alignment and successful outcomes.
Responsibilities
Develop the overarching integration strategy for each acquisition, aligning with organizational goals and value-creation priorities
Translate due diligence findings into actionable integration plans, identifying key risks, synergies, and required decision points
Build and maintain the IMO playbook, templates, and governance processes to drive consistency and scale
Lead and manage all phases of integration—from Day 0 planning through full operational alignment
Manage two direct reports and provide coaching, prioritization support, and oversight of workstreams
Establish timelines, milestones, KPIs, and reporting mechanisms to drive accountability and transparency
Run integration governance ceremonies (steering committees, workstream checkpoints, status reporting)
Partner with functional leaders to help them interpret due diligence outputs and translate findings into focused integration plans
Ensure functions have the resources, clarity, and support needed to execute their integration activities
Facilitate decision-making and escalation management across the leadership team
Drive alignment, cultural integration, and change readiness across all levels of the organization
Develop communication plans and messaging that support integration timelines and reduce organizational friction
Serve as the connective tissue between newly acquired teams and Compass MSP leadership
Apply practical understanding of the MSP business model—including managed services, professional services, NOC/SOC operations, service desk, VoIP, RMM/PSA workflows, and recurring revenue operations
Ensure rapid alignment of systems, data, and processes across platforms such as ConnectWise Manage, ConnectWise Automate, Datto RMM, Microsoft 365
Collaborate with technical and operational teams to support system migrations, data consolidation, and process standardization
Qualification
Required
7+ years of experience in project/program management, business integration, or operations leadership
Strong, practical understanding of the MSP industry and its core operational functions
Demonstrated ability to design and execute integration strategies for acquisitions or major business changes
Excellent emotional intelligence (EQ), interpersonal skills, and the ability to influence without authority
Experience managing small teams or workstream leads
Proficiency in common MSP platforms (PSA, RMM, VoIP, documentation systems)
Preferred
Experience integrating organizations in a private equity–backed MSP landscape
Familiarity with financial reporting, KPI tracking, and synergy modeling
Certifications such as PMP, PgMP, Prosci/ADKAR, or Agile credentials
Experience working with systems like IT Glue, HaloPSA, or other industry tools
