Responsibilities

Develop and execute long-term strategic plans that align with the mission and goals of Pensacola Sports

Serve as the public face and key spokesperson for the organization

Provide executive leadership to staff, volunteers, and committees

Oversee the organization’s budget, financial performance, and fiscal integrity

Ensure compliance with nonprofit governance standards and reporting

Identify new funding streams including sponsorships, grants, memberships, and event revenue

Build and maintain strong partnerships with city and county governments, tourism agencies, chambers of commerce, athletic governing bodies, and community organizations

Represent Pensacola Sports at local, state, and national industry meetings, conferences, and events

Cultivate relationships with board members and serve as primary liaison to the Board of Directors

Oversee the planning, production, and evaluation of all Pensacola Sports events, including annual signature events, championships, and new bid opportunities

Lead sports tourism strategies to attract regional and national events to Escambia County and the Pensacola area

Ensure high event-quality standards that enhance both community impact and visitor experience

Guide the organization’s marketing, public relations, and media efforts

Promote Escambia County as a top sports destination and elevate the organization’s local and national visibility

Advocate for sports-based economic development and community wellness initiatives
