Responsibilities
Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order at the location
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter, including both indoor and outdoor areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards
Monitor and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel
Assist with controlling access to restricted areas and verify the credentials of individuals entering the location as required
Work collaboratively with site staff and/or emergency responders during incidents or drills
Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and site management
Remain alert and attentive while on duty, adapting to the specific needs and conditions of the healthcare and utilities environments
Qualification
Required
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
