Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and optimize web crawlers, automation tools, and workflows
Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code in Node.js
Implement and integrate APIs with third-party services
Optimize automation performance to ensure scalability and efficiency
Debug and resolve technical issues related to automation and web scraping
Collaborate with product and engineering teams to understand requirements and propose technical solutions
Ensure security and compliance best practices are followed when handling user data
Qualification
Required
6+ years of experience as a backend or full-stack engineer building web applications
2+ years of experience with Node.js in a meaningful project
Strong understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture
Experience with web scraping, web crawlers, and automation tools
Knowledge of databases (PostgreSQL, SQL, NoSQL such as Redis, Elasticsearch, MongoDB)
Understanding of user data security best practices
Experience working with REST APIs and third-party integrations
Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and front-end development
Ability to work independently in a remote-first environment
Preferred
Experience with Puppeteer for web automation and scraping
Experience with generative AI technologies and using them to enhance workflow automation
Familiarity with Python and Django
Familiarity with RabbitMQ, Kafka, or other event brokers
Familiarity with Kubernetes, AWS, GCP, or Azure
