Responsibilities
Set up and operate 3- and 5-axis CNC machines (Zimmerman, HAAS mills, and lathes)
Machine billet, foam, castings, and 3D-printed stock
Work closely with engineering to provide real-time DFM feedback and drive rapid iteration
Support hybrid manufacturing workflows and large-format additive systems
Perform in-process and post-process inspections with precision and care
Move seamlessly between R&D prototypes and low-rate production
Collaborate across engineering, composites, and inspection teams
Qualification
Required
5+ years of CNC machining experience, including setup, tooling, and troubleshooting
3+ years operating 5-axis gantry mills
Strong knowledge of G & M code and CNC operations
Fast, proactive, and adaptable — you get things done
Quality-focused with a strong sense of ownership
Hands-on, physically capable (able to lift up to 50 lbs), and detail-oriented
Keen to learn new machines, technologies, and processes on the fly
