The Hybrid Geek is a company that remanufactures high-quality hybrid batteries and provides mobile installation services nationwide. They are seeking a Recruiter & Talent Operations Specialist to manage the recruiting pipeline for Mobile Installer candidates and support additional hiring needs across manufacturing and call center teams as the business expands.

Responsibilities

Own the recruiting efforts for Mobile Hybrid Battery Installer roles nationwide
Build and maintain an active pipeline of qualified installer candidates
Use Indeed as a primary recruiting platform for sourcing, outbound messaging, applicant management, and pipeline tracking
Perform proactive headhunting and outbound sourcing, including targeting competitors and similar environments
Identify candidates from dealerships, mobile mechanic operations, EV/hybrid repair shops, fleet service, and related fields
Serve as a brand ambassador, building rapport and trust with a diverse group of candidates
Coordinate interviews and move candidates efficiently through the hiring process
Manage onboarding once a hiring decision is made
Send contracts and collect required documentation
Create login credentials and grant access to internal systems and tools
Ensure new hires are properly set up prior to their first day
Partner with hiring managers to ensure a smooth transition into training
Execute offboarding tasks when turnover occurs
Close system access and revoke credentials in a timely manner
Maintain accurate records and reduce operational risk
Ensure clean and consistent offboarding workflows
Support recruiting needs for manufacturing and call center roles as capacity allows
Help improve and standardize recruiting, onboarding, and offboarding processes as the company scales

Required

Experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, or people operations
Expert-level experience using Indeed for sourcing, outreach, applicant management, and pipeline building
Ability to build rapport and strong working relationships with a diverse group of candidates across regions, backgrounds, and experience levels
Comfort with proactive outreach and headhunting (cold outreach required)
Experience and comfort with heavy phone activity (screening, follow-ups, outreach)
Ability to assess talent beyond resumes and evaluate role fit
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and execution-focused
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and ability to work independently
Professional, credible, and aligned with The Hybrid Geek brand

Preferred

Automotive, technician, or field-operations recruiting experience is a plus (not required)
Strong written and verbal communication skills โ€” persuasive, professional, and clear
Experience using Google Workspace tools; Google Slides experience is a plus
