Responsibilities
Contribute to the design, development, and deployment of AI/ML features for Egnyte’s platform
Build and optimize Generative AI solutions, such as NLP-based models, to enhance user experiences and platform functionalities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product and Data Science, to translate business requirements into AI-driven solutions
Develop, test, and deploy machine learning models, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability
Write clean, efficient, and production-ready code, following best practices in software engineering
Stay up to date with the latest advancements in AI/ML technologies and apply them to relevant projects
Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving engineering practices across the team
Monitor and maintain deployed models, ensuring continuous improvement and reliability
Qualification
Required
3+ years as a full-time Engineer at a SaaS or Software company (excluding Co-op, internships and academic research)
Strong foundation in computer science, algorithms, and data structures
Programming experience using Java and integrating AI/ML models into production
Hands-on experience with machine learning techniques, including Generative AI (RAG pipelines, LLMs, fine-tuning, and prompt engineering)
Experience working with Python and using ML frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow/Keras, and Hugging Face
Familiarity with cloud platforms, such as GCP or AWS, and distributed computing environments
Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker and orchestration frameworks like Kubernetes
Solid communication skills, with a collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
Willingness to be in office 3 days per week
Preferred
Familiarity with LangChain, OpenAI APIs, or other Generative AI platforms
Experience with additional programming languages such as Go or Scala
Exposure to ML pipelines and frameworks like Kubeflow
Knowledge of computer vision or multimodal machine learning techniques
Demonstrated ability to present technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
