Responsibilities
Underwrite auto loans and leases for 100+ credit union clients nationwide
Communicate with dealers and credit union partners to negotiate loan terms
Render decisions based on guidelines, including DTI, LTV, PTI, credit reports, dealer risk, and other criteria
Apply decisions across multiple origination systems and document rationale
Follow up on approvals and assist with funding to maximize conversion
Monitor dealer productivity and support the improvement of look-to-book ratios
Partner with fraud and compliance teams during loan review and approvals
Participate in internal process improvement and software testing projects
Collaborate with a team of 40+ underwriters and supervisors across the country
Uphold underwriting SLAs and deliver timely, accurate decisions in a dynamic environment
Qualification
Required
5+ years of underwriting or credit analysis experience in indirect auto lending or other lending environments
Experience with indirect auto, direct auto, or even consumer lending experience
Preferred
Familiarity with credit union clients or financial institutions
Prior experience with systems like L360, MeridianLink, or Ideal
