Responsibilities

Investigate incidents involving equipment, safety products/procedures, material handling, hand tools, & plant layouts
Analyze inadequacies in machine guarding, instructions, warnings, or personal protective equipment (PPE), etc., applying your comprehensive knowledge of standards and practices
Write clear, scientifically sound reports
Provide expert testimony

Required

You have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering and/or a closely-related field
You are a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) or can obtain licensure in at least one state within six months
You have 10+ years of manufacturing and production experience, including design, installation, start-up, commissioning, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting spanning a variety of industrial equipment
Your expertise must include design or specification of industrial equipment, material handling equipment (such as forklifts, aerial lifts, and cranes), industrial facility operation and maintenance processes, utility systems (steam, water, air, gas, etc.), and manufacturing processes
Your experience and training in reliability-centered maintenance (RCM), failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA), root cause failure analysis, site incident investigations, and hazard analysis/risk assessments is desirable
You can work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
You can manage a portfolio of 40-60 projects/clients
You have excellent technical, analytical, writing, and communication skills
You are willing to travel about 20% on average
You have a valid driver's license and the ability to drive

Preferred

Your experience and training in reliability-centered maintenance (RCM), failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA), root cause failure analysis, site incident investigations, and hazard analysis/risk assessments is desirable
Prior forensic experience is not required. We seek professionals eager to apply their deep industry knowledge to a challenging new domain
