Responsibilities

Process biweekly payroll and assist with timecard issues as needed

Set up Paycor profiles for new hires, ensuring accurate and complete employee data

Update employee pay rates quarterly

Assist with payroll-related items such as 401(k) questions, unpaid leave, STD/LTD, insurance benefit payments, garnishments, and unemployment claim reviews

Assign and validate appropriate state and local tax jurisdictions for employees based on work and home locations

Monitor and maintain access to federal, state, and local tax accounts

Identify potential payroll tax compliance issues and proactively alert the team before deadlines or penalties arise

Review, track, and resolve payroll tax notices received by mail or electronically, coordinating with Paycor or state agencies as needed

Collaborate with internal teams and Paycor to verify tax filings, payments, account statuses, and reconciliations

Maintain organized documentation of tax filings, notices, registrations, reconciliations, and related correspondence

Support quarterly and annual payroll tax activities as needed
