Responsibilities
Own full P&L responsibility for the Motion Automation Intelligence business
Establish and execute a multi-year growth strategy aligned with Motion and GPC enterprise objectives
Lead a national go-to-market strategy in partnership with sales leadership, accelerating growth through pricing discipline, portfolio mix, supplier programs, and commercial excellence
Build and maintain senior-level relationships with global and regional automation suppliers, including joint business planning and national alignment models
Serve as a visible leader within the broader automation ecosystem, including supplier councils and industry associations
Identify, evaluate, and prioritize acquisition targets aligned with long-term strategy
Lead post-acquisition integration, ensuring cultural, operational, and financial alignment through repeatable operating models
Develop and mentor senior leaders across sales, operations, and engineering, building a deep and scalable leadership bench
Partner closely with Motion and GPC senior leadership to ensure strategic alignment and enterprise initiative adoption
Act as a hands-on, visible leader across locations nationwide, driving accountability and execution excellence
Qualification
Required
10+ years of leadership experience in industrial automation, factory automation, or process automation
Demonstrated success with full P&L ownership and enterprise-level leadership
Experience leading a business of meaningful scale, with strong strategic and operational judgment
Deep exposure to distribution and supplier ecosystems, either from the distributor side or in a supplier role with direct responsibility for distributor partnerships
Proven experience developing supplier strategies, national growth programs, and joint business plans
Track record of building and leading high-performing, cross-functional leadership teams
Bachelor's degree required
Preferred
Strong preference for experience in an acquisition-driven environment, including post-acquisition integration
MBA preferred
