Evercore is a premier global independent investment banking advisory firm, and they are seeking an Equity Research Senior Associate / Vice President for its Media, Cable, and Telecom Services team. The role involves supporting the senior analyst, writing research reports, performing financial analysis, and mentoring junior talent while interacting with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Author industry and company-specific research reports

Develop and update company and industry models, including creating differentiated bespoke analyses

Perform financial and valuation analysis of covered companies

Contribute to idea generation for research ideas and long/short stock calls

Mentor and develop junior talent

Be a key point of contact for the team with internal and external stakeholders, including sales, other Evercore research teams, investors, and corporate counterparts

Oversee data collection and monitor investor news services

Attend industry events and gather information on current trends

Required

3+ years of prior experience in equity research, investment banking, buy-side, or other finance roles

Exceptional analytical and Excel modeling capabilities

Excellent communication skills; the job entails significant writing responsibilities ranging from short write-ups to lengthy deep dives

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Concrete understanding of / demonstrated interest in corporate finance & equity markets

Series 7, 63, 86 and 87 (or willingness to obtain)

Preferred

Prior equity research, investment banking, or buy-side experience is strongly preferred

Understanding of the media, cable, and telecom services sectors is preferred, but not required
