Imaging Service Engineer III
Intelas is a company specializing in imaging services, and they are seeking an Imaging Service Engineer III to support clinical departments and customers by addressing equipment issues. The role involves repairing, maintaining, and calibrating imaging devices, as well as providing training and mentoring to other engineers.
Responsibilities
Respond expeditiously to calls from clinical departments, and/or customers to evaluate and rectify valid operator complaints and concerns
Develops and conducts training when requested regionally and nationally
Handle difficult customer situations
Repair, install, maintain, calibrate, and inspect a diverse range of therapeutic and diagnostic imaging devices and systems, including planned maintenance and electrical safety testing. Diagnose, correct, and repair system and equipment malfunctions
Maintain an orderly and functional working environment, ensuring tools and test equipment are calibrated and are in good working order before use, and follow the 5S methodology
Participate in assigned on-call services in accordance with contractual guidelines and/or departmental policies
Conduct incident investigation, inspect and test malfunctioning equipment to determine course of malfunction, following learned procedures and manual instructions, using specialized test and analysis instruments and manufacturer’s specifications
Perform major repairs by replacing defective components, glassware and readjust components to manufacturer’s specifications using appropriate tools and measuring instruments. May require certification in order to complete repairs
Utilizes specialized knowledge and training to perform system calibrations within area of expertise. (i.e.- Rad, RF, Mammo, Nuc Med, Linear Acc, PET-CT, CT, MR, or Ultrasound)
Confers with supervisor, other Imaging Technicians, manufacturer’s representatives and equipment operators to resolve equipment related problems
Leads and mentors other ISEs on the servicing of imaging equipment and towards ensuring understanding of service, safety, and company procedures
Actively participates on national DI teams
Research and initiate orders for repair parts, working with the supervisor and/or the Technical Resource Center; demonstrate ability to effectively find second-source parts
Provide accurate and timely database management of the CMMS in accordance with our Quality Management System and related policies and procedures
Schedule and oversee third-party service as necessary
Individual will be expected to participate in huddles, meetings, seminars, training, workshops, and conferences as required

Preferred
Bachelor's degree in biomedical equipment technology, electronic equipment technology, or military training preferred
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted
Formal radiology training and/or certifications(s) preferred i.e., CBET, CRES, etc
Seven (7) years servicing Diagnostic Imaging equipment preferred
