Responsibilities

Work with the Director of Student Affairs, Assistant Dean of Student Affairs, Summer Hoya Residential Team, campus partners, and other members of the SCS Summer and Special Programs team
Serve as a liaison with the Office of Residential Living throughout the summer. This includes producing rooming assignments every week, maintaining floor rosters for the Summer Hoya Residential Team, and submitting housing changes
Assist in purchasing for Summer High School Sessions, including working with outside vendors and on-campus partners
Aid in the execution of events and activities for the Summer College Immersion Program (SCIP), a three-week college prep program for rising high school seniors from the Cristo Rey Network, the KIPP Foundation school systems, as well as other select schools, networks, and community-based organizations. This includes living in the residence hall with SCIP students for three weeks during the summer
Enforce Pre-College program policies and procedures for students, including assisting residential staff in addressing and adjudicating conduct violations and approving student leave requests
Assist with weekly Summer High School Sessions Sunday check-ins, ranging from 30-800 students each week
Manage Summer Hoya email account and respond to inquiries promptly
Support Summer Sessions by leading, coordinating, administering, and supporting programs and services
Serve as primary support and contact for Summer Honors Institutes
Function as an on-campus resource for all Summer Sessions students
Assist in planning, marketing, and execution for all summer student programs (both co-curricular and social), including Summer Honors specific programming, e.g., orientation, closing ceremony, outreach events, and exploring Washington, D.C
Assist in the overall implementation and creation of content to increase presence on social media
Assist in the overall administration of Summer Sessions, orientations, operations, and initiatives
Assist in the development of presentations and associated materials
Assist in monitoring programmatic budget and record keeping
Assist in the overall administration of SCS summer operations and programming initiatives
Assist with summer-related data collection and data processing
Work cooperatively with numerous partner offices across the University
Fulfill administrative and clerical responsibilities in a timely and thorough manner
Maintain privacy and confidentiality when handling participant and community issues
Attend events and meetings as assigned
Be accessible via cell phone and email address issued by Georgetown University for the duration of the internship
Assist in identifying, defining, and resolving issues
Other duties as assigned or requested

Required

Bachelor's degree required
Currently pursuing a Master's Degree in higher education, student affairs, or a similar field required
Must communicate effectively both in writing and in speaking
Experience creating and managing Excel and Google Sheets
Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a fast-paced atmosphere, take initiative, work autonomously, and exhibit organization in their work is required
Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion and personal integrity
An understanding of the needs of, and interest in, working with high school students
An understanding of the needs of, and interest in, working with undergraduate students and international students
Passion and support for all students regardless of race, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, ability, nationality, and language required
Interest in international education and working with international students
A positive attitude, solid work ethic, and the ability to work irregular hours required
