LHH has partnered with a reputable defense contractor to add a Senior Analyst of Financial Reporting to their team. The role involves preparing consolidated financial statements and SEC/regulatory filings, while also advising on complex accounting issues and ensuring compliance with new standards.

Responsibilities

Prepare consolidated financial statements and internal management reports, including analysis and public earnings releases

Draft and coordinate quarterly and annual filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), such as Forms 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, and securities registration statements (e.g., S-3, S-4), as well as other regulatory filings as needed

Oversee the preparation of Inline XBRL reporting for SEC submissions

Liaise with independent auditors to support audit requests and ensure timely completion

Research and interpret technical accounting matters, implementing new accounting standards and regulatory requirements across business units

Advise business unit financial management on complex accounting issues

Develop and deliver internal presentations on accounting and financial reporting topics for senior management, audit committees, and boards of directors

Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field

5+ years experience with a major public accounting firm or a similar corporate environment

Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements

Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and completeness

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels and work collaboratively within a team
