JL Marketing is a dynamic digital marketing agency specializing in lead generation through Meta & Google. They are seeking a Paid Media Manager to lead and own the overall paid media performance strategy, manage and develop a team, and drive campaign performance to meet client goals.
Responsibilities
Lead and own the overall paid media performance strategy for JL Marketing, ensuring all campaigns deliver on key business objectives and client goals
Oversee and drive the performance of all paid media campaigns, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation
Manage, mentor, and develop the team of account managers and onboarding specialists, ensuring alignment with company strategy and high standards of execution
Set clear expectations, provide regular feedback, and foster a culture of accountability and growth within the account management team
Direct and implement changes to campaign strategy, structure, and execution based on data-driven insights and evolving business needs
Own the full-funnel process: audience research, campaign setup, creative direction, A/B testing, and ongoing optimization to achieve KPIs (CPL, CPA, ROI, ROAS)
Analyze campaign performance data, diagnose issues, and implement actionable improvements
Collaborate with account managers, creative teams, and backend media buyers to ensure campaigns align with client goals and brand guidelines
Communicate campaign strategies, results, and recommendations to clients in a clear, professional manner
Stay ahead of industry trends, platform updates, and best practices to keep JL Marketing at the cutting edge
Standardize reporting, dashboards, and SOPs for campaign management and optimization
Manage multiple accounts and priorities in a fast-paced, remote-first environment
Serve as a key leadership team member, contributing to company-wide strategy and direction
Qualification
Required
Must be available to meet 1 time per week in our co-working space in Del Mar, San Diego
4+ years of hands-on paid media experience, with deep expertise in Meta Ads (Facebook/Instagram) and Google Ads
Proven track record of driving results for lead generation campaigns (not just e-commerce)
Advanced analytical skills; comfortable interpreting channel metrics and making data-driven decisions
Demonstrated experience leading teams, managing direct reports, and developing talent
Experience building and executing structured testing roadmaps (audiences, creatives, placements, bidding)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to translate data into clear actions for clients and team members
Strong organizational skills; able to manage multiple campaigns, tests, and reporting cycles
Meta Blueprint certification (required)
Preferred
Google Ads certification (preferred)
Experience working with multi-location or franchise businesses is a plus
Comfort with tools like Meta Ads Manager, Google Sheets, Canva, and project management platforms
