Foster Group is seeking a Portfolio Management Associate to join their Portfolio Management Team. The role involves executing trades and maintaining client portfolios in line with the company's investment strategy, while supporting Lead Advisors and the Investment Team.

Responsibilities

Setup and maintain accounts within trading software

Prepare and process trades of various securities (mutual funds, ETFs, stocks, bonds)

Prepare and update necessary documentation for trade execution

Timely and accurate placement of trade orders as directed

Organize and ensure the completion of routine day-to-day trading activities

Place and monitor investment trade orders through custodians

Monitor requests submitted via CRM to ensure timely response to requests

Maintain client specific investment notes and trading information in CRM system (Salesforce FSC)

Become an expert in utilizing the trading software (currently Orion’s Eclipse) through formal and informal learning opportunities

Develop an understanding of and maintain non-client specific information, such as portfolio models, rebalancing parameters, and tax guidelines, in the trading software

Review portfolios for variance from target allocations and rebalance portfolios

Produce and update documentation of routinely performed tasks

Perform routine and project-related maintenance in the trading software

Provide consistent, thorough, and accurate communication to all parties involved with trading requests

Review potential trading errors and submit findings to Portfolio Management Lead including explanation of the error, its cause, resolution, and plan to prevent the type of error from happening in the future

Maintain team approach by assisting and filling in for others

Assist with client meeting preparation by producing investment notes and portfolio recommendations

Respond to requests from clients and outside advisors

Fill in to assist others or aid clients or Advisors

Perform other duties as requested
