Responsibilities

Create innovative programs and strategies for customers to differentiate Medline in the marketplace
Participate in overall product strategy and conceptual program development
Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories; project expected sales volume and profit for existing new products
Maintain national sales team results by coaching and motivating employees, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results
Track sales team metrics, monitoring sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors
Participate in overall product strategy and conceptual program development
Identifying/monitoring market trends that affect sales, service, and product development
Typically, manages through multiple Managers. Provides leadership and management to one or more major departments of an operating unit or to a department that has system-wide accountability
Strategic, tactical and operational planning (12 + months) for the function or department
Direct budgetary responsibility for one or more departments, functions or major projects/programs; - Interpret and execute policies for departments/projects and develops
Recommend and implement new policies or modifications to existing policies
Hiring staff, recommending pay increases, performing performance reviews, training and development of staff, estimating personnel needs, assigning work, meeting completion dates, interpreting and ensuring consistent application of organizational policies

Required

Bachelor's degree in business or marketing
At least 10 years of sales experience to include at least 5 years' experience in a leadership role
Position requires travel up to 50% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state)
