Business Operations Internship - Summer 2026

The Business Operations Intern will be involved in planning, developing, deploying, and supporting projects impacting various business units.

Responsibilities

Document and design business processes and make appropriate recommendations that will positively impact operational effectiveness
Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs
Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze trade-offs between usability and performance requirements
Track and analyze business unit trends, making recommendations that positively impact the department to create new initiatives or maximize existing ones based on data analysis
Collaborates with all functional business units to achieve strategic, tactical, and project goals
Works with project team members to monitor milestone completion, tracks all phases of the project life cycle, and provides timely reporting of issues that impact project progress, coordinating actions and resolving conflicts. This includes documenting, prioritizing, and tracking requests
Consulting role with business units in developing user acceptance test plans and procedures for end-user testing, ensuring that all tests are conducted and documented according to the standards agreed upon by the business unit and IT
Provides status updates and reporting on assigned projects
Supports business transition and helps establish change

Required

Must have obtained at least a Junior status in a Bachelor's degree program in business or a related field
Strong technical and analytical skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Manage details and execute effective follow-through
Ability to multitask
Experience working in a team environment
Good knowledge of Excel and Outlook

Preferred

Knowledge of the insurance industry is a plus
Access, SQL, Visio, Tableau, and Project experience is a plus
