Responsibilities
Prepare and consolidate financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements
Support the annual budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with Controller to develop, analyze and monitor budgets
Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards
Research and present accounting issues and policies when necessary in order to maintain compliance with generally accepted accounting principles
Conduct regular cost analysis and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement
Assist and support the Controller with the annual financial audit and provide analytical support and reconciliations as required
Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
CPA required
Proven experience as an Assistant Controller or similar role in the construction or telecommunications industry (ideally 5 years experience at Assistant Controller level)
Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles, financial planning, and analysis
Strong understanding of financial reporting standards and regulatory compliance
Proficiency in accounting software, Quickbooks and MS Office Suite
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent leadership and team management abilities
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
