Content and Social Media Specialist
Tait Sales & Consulting, LLC is a family-owned tooling and equipment distribution company based in Overland Park, KS. They are seeking a highly motivated Content and Social Media Specialist to support marketing initiatives, manage the content calendar, and enhance brand awareness through creative content and data analysis.

Responsibilities
Develop, own, and execute the organizational content calendar, aligning content creation efforts (social, email, etc) with company goals for increasing visibility and sales both online and locally
Serves as primary coordinator of all organic social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Youtube), developing creative content that is both engaging and increases domain authority on the web
Write and edit compelling narrative content (captions, post copy, video scripts) that communicates the company mission and goals
Monitor and analyze all content performance metrics using Meta and Google Analytics (social engagement, reach, sales, website traffic driven by content) to make data-driven recommendations and optimize future content
Collaborate regularly with all departments to identify, conceptualize, and execute a wide variety of creative storytelling projects
Capture high-quality, diverse photo and video content at company events, industry activities (sometimes requiring evening/weekend availability)
Edit photos and videos for multiple digital platforms, ensuring consistent brand image and strong visual identity
Manage and maintain the digital content library (Digital Asset Management), ensuring all photos, videos, and media are correctly tagged, organized, searchable, and accessible to other staff
Act as a liaison for media relations, coordinating interviews and distributing press releases, if applicable
Collaborate with the SEO strategist to create content, copy, and performance reports to inform and improve their advertising efforts
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing, visual arts, or related field, or equivalent work experience
1–3 years of experience in content creation, social media management, or digital marketing
Experience in photography, videography, and editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Rush, Lightroom, Canva, or similar)
Must have at least 1 year of experience
Creativity and visual storytelling with a proven track record of increasing engagement and sales
1 year or more of photography and videography skills (including editing and post-production)
Clear, engaging writing for digital and social platforms
Understanding of social media algorithms, audience engagement tactics, and platform best practices
Collaboration and relationship building across teams
Ability to balance multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast paced, constantly evolving environment
At least 1 year of experience with Google Analytics, Google Merchant Center, Google Search Console, Meta Business Suite, Meta Business Manager
Understanding of content creation and posting for Linkedin, Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, TikTok, etc
Must be able to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
Must be authorized to work in the United States and successfully complete a background and driving records screening
Preferred
Prior experience creating content for manufacturing/tooling industries is strongly preferred
