Director of HRIS Systems (UKG)
The Everest Search Group is representing a billion-dollar asset-based 3PL that provides transportation and warehousing services across the United States. They are seeking a Director of HRIS Systems to lead HR operations, manage HRIS implementations, and ensure compliance with legal requirements while enhancing employee engagement and managing vendor relationships.
Responsibilities
Responsible for leading the entire organization from a Human Resources perspective
Develop and execute comprehensive people operations strategies aligned with business objectives and values. Help drive employee engagement initiatives to enhance workplace satisfaction, retention, and productivity
Manage and mentor a team of HR professionals, providing coaching and development opportunities
Monitor industry trends and best practices to continually enhance HR practices and offerings
Oversee the implementation of HRIS systems and tools to streamline processes and improve data accuracy
Ensure data integrity and timeliness of all employee transactions through UKG
Active in UKG Community to ensure Best Practices are consistently discussed and/or implemented
Prepare and analyze HR metrics and reports to provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement
Manages of staff of 3 for HCM(UKG) processes & administration
Build and manage positive professional relationships with the various vendors in HR, including
Benefits vendors and brokers
Compensation vendors (i.e. nationwide, deferred comp, etc.)
Coordinate the quarterly Trustee documents, decisions, & filing
Manages all invoicing, billing, executing on signed agreements with various HR-related vendors (i.e. hotline, background check vendor, reviewing all recruitment agencies, etc
Ensure all pay actions are prepared with accuracy & timeliness for proper payroll processing
Ensure all payrolls are processed weekly, bi-weekly and annual basis with complete accuracy and timeliness
Ensure annual merit and bonus events occur seamlessly
Ensure all regulatory audits and reports are completed and filed appropriately
Implement and enhance HR policies, processes, and programs to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
Help manage complex employee relations matters and serve as a trusted advisor to employees at all levels
Works very closely with the Compliance Director; helps write all company policies for enterprise-wide implications
Communicates all changes to policies enterprise-wide
Conducts employee investigations when requested by Risk
Monitors 3-party employee hotline
Monitors all EEOC complaints
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources
8-10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
Strong understanding of all aspects of HR, including HR Capital Management systems (UKG++), compensation, employee relations, and compliance
Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain positive working relationships
Strategic thinker with a demonstrated ability to translate business objectives into effective HR strategies
In-depth knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred
Master's degree
Prior experience in the transportation and logistics industry
