Responsibilities
Prepare for Patient Visits: Review and update patient records before face-to-face or Telehealth appointments, ensuring all recent test results and correspondence are up-to-date
Maintain Exam Rooms: Clean and stock exam rooms between patient visits, adhering to infection control standards
Patient Preparation: Prepare patients for their visit and notify the physician or mid-level provider when they are ready to be seen
Initial Medical Screening: Greet patients, take vital signs, and document basic medical history accurately
Assist During Exams: Support physicians or mid-level providers during patient examinations
Efficient Use of Time: Restock supplies, check inventory, and keep all areas clean and orderly
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED
Current, valid CPR certification
Excellent ability to take medical histories, understand instructions, and document information accurately
High degree of diplomacy and tact
Beginner to intermediate computing and phone skills
Willingness to adapt to various job duties and cross-train within other departments
Ability to work effectively in a high-stress, fast-paced environment
Experience working with diverse populations
Knowledge of 'Universal Precautions' and adherence to HIPAA standards
Preferred
Current, valid Certification of Medical Assistant
Bilingual in English/Spanish or other languages
Valid State Driver's License
