Project Manager II

Responsibilities
Function as day-to-day point of contact with clients and governing agencies including the Division of the State Architect
Manage the overall quality of small and large projects through all design phases including client interaction, schedule and financial performance (both client budgets as well as internal budgets). Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills are essential
Assist Principal-in-Charge with generating Design Services Proposals
Understand contracts and run projects from inception through to project closeout
Manage project teams, determining staffing assignments required to meet project milestones
Responsible for all aspects of project management including budgeting, staffing, billing and consultant billing
Manage and/or generate details, both exterior and interior within a Revit context
Lead in coordination with consultants and design team
Coordinate material identification and specifications
Quality control of the contract documents
Lead all aspects of the Construction Administration phase including meetings, submittals and preparation of field sketches
Ability to work on multiple projects and manage project priorities
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or master's degrees in architecture is required
Minimum 10 years' experience in managing public school projects
Must possess Division of the State Architect experience with the full life cycle of project review, approval and certification
Strong written and verbal communications skills
Proficient with computer-assisted design software such as Revit and AutoCAD
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software
California Architecture license is required
Passion for and fundamental understanding of sustainable design
Preferred
Familiarity with Deltek Vision Software a plus
LEED Accreditation preferred
Ability to develop business development and bring in clients is a plus
