Assistant Project Manager/Project Engineer - Steel Construction
gpac is a growing steel construction company seeking a motivated Assistant Project Manager / Project Engineer to support the successful delivery of structural steel projects. This role is ideal for someone with 1-2 years of construction experience who is looking to develop into a full Project Manager, gaining exposure to both field and office operations.

Responsibilities
Assist Project Managers with planning, coordinating, and executing steel construction projects
Support project documentation, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and schedules
Conduct site walks, track progress, and assist with field coordination
Communicate with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely project execution
Help manage material procurement, delivery schedules, and logistics
Assist with cost tracking, budget monitoring, and reporting
Support quality control, safety compliance, and adherence to project specifications
Participate in project meetings and prepare meeting minutes and follow-up actions
Qualification
Required
1-2 years of experience in the construction industry (steel experience is a plus but not required)
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to work in both field and office environments
Eagerness to learn, take direction, and grow into a larger PM role
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
Proficiency with construction software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, etc.) is a plus
