Responsibilities

Bridge design and plan development

Field investigations, inspections, and repair recommendations

Type studies, structural designs, preliminary through detailed, including quantity calculation and construction cost estimating, load rating, construction monitoring, expert opinions related to bridges, civil structures and other structures

Not only will you be involved in a wide range of responsibilities as a bridge / structural engineer, you’ll also be responsible for project management. You will be responsible for managing your own transportation and infrastructure projects as well as take a forward-facing role with the client

Required

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, or equivalent

Certification as a registered professional engineer (PE) in Ohio is required

At least 9+ years of professional experience in bridge design or structural design in transportation or highways project

Experience working on structural bridge design projects in Ohio

Familiarity with AutoDesk and Bentley products, and bridge design software such as LARSA, SAP 2000, STAAD Pro, OpenBridge, CsiBridge, MIDAS, AASHTOWARE Bridge Rating, and MDX

Preferred

A masters in structural engineering preferred

Exposure to other structural projects is a plus
