They are seeking an Accounting Intern to gain hands-on experience in financial operations, applying US GAAP, and enhancing skills in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

Learn the financial industry and needs of our members and internal stakeholders

Assist with month-end closing through the preparation of journal entries and completion of account reconciliations

Collaborate with the team and other internal stakeholders to document accounting workflows and internal controls

Conduct financial data analysis and research variances in support of Accounting processes

Assist with other Accounting projects, such as process improvement and system implementations

Learn our corporate culture and basic day-to-day communication/work processes

Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas

Take on special projects and assignments as directed by manager

Perform other duties as needed

Required

Must be enrolled as a full-time student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. Preference will be given to candidates entering their senior year and/or previous internship experience

Completion of at least introductory accounting coursework with strong academic performance

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Strong written and verbal communication, teamwork, and time management skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Ability to meet deadlines while working independently and as part of a team, showing initiative and willingness to learn

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

Ability to work 40 hours per week for the 12-week program
