Lake Superior Consulting is growing and seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer (Controls) to support multi-disciplinary projects primarily in the energy sector. This role offers the opportunity to lead complex electrical and controls engineering efforts while collaborating with a highly skilled, multi-discipline team.

Responsibilities

Lead moderate to large-sized electrical and controls projects, providing technical direction and decision-making on complex issues

Coordinate with multi-discipline design teams to deliver complete, high-quality construction documents

Develop power and controls drawings, specifications, and supporting documentation

Perform engineering calculations, studies, detailed designs, reports, and design reviews

Design and review complex control systems including PLCs, SCADA, instrumentation, control panels, control narratives, cause & effect diagrams, and network architectures

Design and support electrical power systems including high, medium, and low voltage systems, switchgear, MCCs, drives, emergency power, service entrances, and power distribution

Manage project scope changes, identify risks, and support development of mitigation strategies

Oversee internal staff and external contractors while maintaining schedule and financial control

Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, vendors, and contractors

Provide field support during construction as needed
