Facilities Engineer
EPITEC is looking for a dynamic, results-driven individual to join as a Facilities and Construction Project Engineer. This role will be responsible for facilities engineering and construction project management, enhancing infrastructure systems and leading capital projects across the Indiana Technical Center campus.

Responsibilities
Partner with product engineering and validation teams to ensure facilities are ready for new programs and testing protocols
Supervise external contractors performing facility work on-site
Maintain documentation for facility layouts and equipment specifications
Ensure compliance with ISO 14001, OSHA, VDA TISAZ, IATF 16949, and BorgWarner’s global facility standards
Support sustainability initiatives and energy efficiency improvements aligned with ISO 50001
Manage construction and renovation projects, including lab expansions, infrastructure upgrades, and office reconfigurations
Oversee external contractors and ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and building codes
Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and resource plans
Coordinate with internal stakeholders and vendors for timely, compliant execution
Apply BorgWarner’s Facility Design Guidelines for site selection, building systems, and sustainability
Monitor construction quality, safety, and adherence to local codes and corporate standards
Provide engineering support for capital investment planning and execution
Qualification
Required
W2 only - US or Green Card
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering
10+ years in facilities or construction project engineering, preferably in an automotive technical center or R&D environment
Strong knowledge of building systems, lab infrastructure, and construction management
Proven experience managing capital projects and facility upgrades
Proficiency with CAD tools, facility management software, and project scheduling tools
Familiarity with ISO 14001, IATF 16949, ISO 50001, and OSHA standards
Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills
