Responsibilities

You will review loan files before submission or after underwriting to ensure accuracy and compliance with all guidelines

You will communicate regularly with borrowers and sales partners to provide updates and request required documents

You will verify all documentation meets regulatory and product-specific requirements prior to final approval

You will coordinate with third-party vendors and resolve discrepancies to prevent delays in the loan process

You will address escalated issues related to income, assets, credit, and title by collaborating with internal and external parties

You will manage closing details, perform final quality checks, and respond to audits or post-closing requests to maintain compliance

Required

High School Diploma

3+ years of directly related experience in mortgage loan processing

Demonstrated ability to manage complex files and mentor others

Advanced knowledge of mortgage lending guidelines and regulations (RESPA, Reg B, HMDA, FHA, VA Conventional, FHLMC, FNMA, Bond, Native American, Rural Development, and others as offered)

Strong understanding of mortgage loan underwriting criteria

Strong knowledge of Compliance guidelines

Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently to manage high-volume pipelines and prioritize effectively

Proficiency in loan origination systems and document management platforms

Ability to type 50-60 wpm

Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
