Responsibilities
Work side by side with higher level technicians and engineers on assigned projects related to preventive maintenance, repairs or projects
Support the maintenance of electrical and mechanical infrastructure per manufacturers’ recommendations
Ability to read and understand electrical drawings/schematics and mechanical drawings/P&ID
Perform and execute necessary rounds throughout the Data Center and around the property as directed to ensure the integrity of the site
Perform customer installation activities, rack layouts, electrical circuits, and HVAC
Provide oversight of contractors and service providers
Conduct daily inspections of all Data Center and IT room infrastructure both on site and through monitoring programs
Ensure Computerized Maintenance Management System data accuracy
Monitor building management systems and other automated tools and applications to ensure operational efficiencies
As a member of an on–call rotation provides emergency response as needed
Perform assigned tasks when part of a project team
Respond to work requests within a timely manner delivering a high level of support
Ensure all safety procedures are adhered to while performing work
Participates in all Change Management processes including risk assessment and procedural development and review
Qualification
Required
High school diploma required
Requires a minimum of 5 years' experience as a Journeyman level Electrician
Must have basic knowledge of computer programs including email, documents and spreadsheets
Valid and current CA driver's license required
Requires minimal supervision
High School Diploma or equivalent
3+ years of Data Center Facilities or related work experience
