Ohio CAT is a division of Ohio Machinery Co. that seeks to be a top-performing leader in the industry. The Field Service Technician will troubleshoot and repair various product lines including CAT engines and generators, working from a service truck in outdoor conditions.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair the various product lines sold and/or supported by the division

Work from an Ohio CAT service truck in the natural elements

Required

High School Diploma or equivalent

Three years of experience with hands-on mechanical repair work with diesel, power generator, HVAC, or industrial equipment, or graduation from an accredited technical school (minimum two-year program), with emphasis on diesel engine or power generator repair, and two years of experience

A valid Commercial Driver's License with an acceptable driving record by Ohio CAT standards (4 or fewer moving violation points) is required

Electrical Power Generator service/repair knowledge required, preferably with CAT equipment, from 5KW-2MG

Experience with diagnosis/troubleshooting using computer equipment is required

Must be able to analyze symptoms and probable causes, and make accurate and timely repairs

Desire and ability to present strong customer service skills

Follow all Ohio CAT's policies, procedures, and safety regulations

Must own and safely use personal mechanic's tools
