Responsibilities
Own property, lease, and fixed asset accounting for a multi-location portfolio
Manage capitalization, depreciation, disposals, and reconciliations for fixed assets
Oversee construction-in-progress (CIP) activity and ensure timely capitalization
Support lease accounting activities, including rent accruals, straight-line rent, and compliance with ASC 842
Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and schedules for month-end close
Partner with Finance, Real Estate, and Operations to ensure accurate financial reporting and data integrity
Support audits by preparing documentation, schedules, and responding to auditor requests
Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and stronger internal controls
Assist with maintaining compliance related to property licenses and regulatory requirements
Qualification
Required
4–7+ years of accounting experience, with a strong focus on property, fixed assets, or lease accounting
Experience working in a multi-entity or multi-location environment
Strong understanding of GAAP and fixed asset accounting principles
Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite strongly preferred)
High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
Strong communication skills and comfort partnering cross-functionally
