Responsibilities

Maintaining playground/island mulch, turf (natural and synthetic), dragging baseball field infields, changing home plates and base anchors
Inspecting park assets including playgrounds for safety standards
Applying herbicides (pre- and post-emergents) and fertilizers
Operating irrigation systems and performing minor repairs
Maintaining passive areas
Operating tractors and commercial zero turn mowers
Operating small engine equipment (backpack blowers, edgers, and string trimmers)
Performing preventative maintenance and performing repairs on equipment, chain link fencing/gates
Reporting incidents to leadership
Providing maintenance reports

Qualification

Grounds maintenance experienceCPR/First Aid CertificationOperating irrigation systemsOperating tractorsOperating small engine equipmentApplying herbicidesPreventative maintenanceSoft skills

Required

High school diploma or GED
Two years of grounds maintenance experience
Driver's license
CPR/First Aid Certification
