Vaco by Highspring is a private equity-backed company in the advisory/professional services space, and they are seeking an Accounting Manager to support growth following a recent acquisition. This role will own core accounting operations, lead a small team, and integrate the acquired business.

Responsibilities

Own GAAP accounting and ensure accurate, timely monthly/quarterly close and financial reporting for the newly acquired business; integrate it into new company

Maintain clean records and reconciliations across balance sheet and P&L (deferrals, amortizations, capitalizations, etc.)

Lead and develop a team of 1 - 3 (e.g., AR/collections and related functions); set priorities, coach, and elevate performance

Drive systems/process improvements and contribute to integration activities tied to the recent acquisition

Required

BS in Accounting (or equivalent relevant degree)

5-10 years of progressive corporate accounting experience

Demonstrated expertise in US GAAP (most important requirement)

Hands-on mastery of US GAAP - solid expertise in core corporate accounting (reconciliations, deferrals, amortizations, capitalizations, revenue considerations)

People leadership experience

Self-motivated, accountable, proactive; strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
