Responsibilities

Oversees the daily management of the Adventure Shack and Boat Rental Operation
Ensures park patrons may purchase food, general store items and rent boats
Manages customer service skills and supervisory experience in boat rentals
Handles stressful situations with professionalism
Communicates effectively with the public and emergency personnel
Gives instructions to patrons regarding boat rentals and safety procedures
Works weekends and holidays as required

Required

At least 20 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience and specialized training in boat rental operations
Completed Maryland Safe Boating Certificate course
First Aid/CPR Certified
Strong ability to communicate to the public and emergency personnel and give instructions
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds on a regular basis
Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism
Have sound judgement and risk management skills
Working weekends and holidays are a must
Previous experience driving a motorboat

Preferred

Experience in canoeing
Experience in kayaking
Experience with register/point of sale
Customer service experience
Lifesaving and CPR certifications
