Responsibilities
Act as a go to resource for research, technical, and reporting issues for clients
Identify and assist with implementation of tax planning and saving strategies for clients
Represent clients before the IRS and state tax authorities
Prepare and/or review individual and business tax returns
Manage multiple tax engagements and supervise staff
Build strong team relationships and satisfy other functions as needs arise
Provides mentorship opportunities to Staff and Senior Accountants as well as seasonal interns
Work diligently building relationships with key stakeholders at client organizations to continue to foster a long-term partnership between the JHM Tax Department and external clients
Adhere to JHM’s defined processes and procedures including the firm's policy on privacy and client confidentiality
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field required
5+ years of public accounting experience required
Experience with tax aspects of business transaction issues, including shareholder transactions, etc
Experience with mentoring, training, and developing tax professionals
Preferred
CPA preferred
Proficient with tax software such as ProSystems and RIA a plus
