Responsibilities
Prepare detailed electrical estimates for commercial, institutional, and public sector projects
Review plans, specs, addenda, and RFIs to ensure complete and accurate takeoffs
Perform material and labor takeoffs using Accubid
Develop budgets, cost breakdowns, and bid proposals with a high level of accuracy
Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing
Identify value-engineering opportunities and propose cost-effective alternatives
Work closely with PMs, Precon, and field leadership to ensure estimates align with real-world installation methods
Lead complex bids and large-scale pursuits
Mentor junior estimators and support their development
Help refine estimating processes and best practice
Qualification
Required
Experience estimating electrical construction projects (commercial, institutional, or public sector)
Proficiency in Accubid (required)
Strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and installation methods
Ability to read and interpret plans, specs, and addenda
Detail-oriented mindset with strong communication skills
Preferred
Ability to lead bids, mentor junior estimators, and manage complex scopes
