InternSpecialtyRx is a Long-Term Care pharmacy providing pharmaceutical services to long term care facilities and assisted living communities. They are seeking a dedicated and motivated Pharmacist Intern to join their team, offering hands-on experience in providing pharmaceutical care under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare providers
Participate in medication therapy management activities, including identifying potential drug interactions, allergies, and contraindications
Provide clinical support by assisting in drug utilization reviews, monitoring patient progress, and communicating findings to the healthcare team
Assist in maintaining pharmacy documentation and ensuring that pharmacy operations meet high standards of safety and accuracy
Work closely with pharmacists, healthcare providers, and other members of the team to optimize medication therapy
Perform “on-call” duties when required
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in an accredited Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) program
Must be in good standing with the State Board of Pharmacy, with an intern license
Previous experience in Hospital and Retail pharmacy or other medical fields
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
Detail oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
Proficient in the use of pharmacy software systems and Microsoft Office
Preferred
Framework / ECM software knowledge a plus
