Assistant/Associate Professor of Practice in the School of Applied and Creative Computing
Purdue University School of Applied and Creative Computing is seeking a full-time, non-tenure track Assistant or Associate Professor of Practice starting in Fall 2026. The role focuses on teaching and preparing students to tackle the challenges in various computing fields while bridging industry practice with academic excellence.

Responsibilities
Developing and teaching compelling undergraduate and graduate courses, with a focus on applied areas
Ensuring our curriculum remains at the cutting edge of industry practice
Mentoring students for successful careers and leveraging professional networks to forge strong industry and government partnerships that create opportunities for our students
Contributing to our collaborative, interdisciplinary culture through service to the school, university, and the profession
Participating in departmental, college, and university-level activities and having professional development opportunities
Qualification
Required
Completion of Ph.D. degree or terminal degree in computing or closely related field by August 1, 2026; or
Possession of a master's degree in computing or closely related field with a minimum of five years of relevant industry or teaching experience
