Fleet Analyst - Public Works

City of Phoenix is seeking a Fleet Analyst to conduct studies of vehicle and equipment maintenance and recommend purchases while developing improved operational methods within a fleet maintenance organization. The role involves analyzing data from various sources and ensuring efficiency in fleet operations.

Performing performance/environmental audits
Determining equipment needs of end-users
Providing time, motion and cost analysis reports
Database administration
Coordinating and determining operator/technical training needs
Maintaining efficient records

Required

Three years of experience working in a fleet environment as an analyst
OR Three years of experience as a journeyman mechanic
(OR certification by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence as a General Automotive Mechanic)
Supplemented by college level courses in statistics, mathematics or accounting
Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted
All finalists for positions are subject to a criminal background check applicable to the department or position

Preferred

Providing technical analysis within a fleet/automotive environment
Drafting and maintaining contracts, i.e., time and/or material contracts
Maintain records within an asset database (i.e. AssetWorks, Faster, RTA, ETC)
Maintaining financial data within a fleet environment
Using SQL or Crystal Reports
Microsoft Word AND Excel
Project management within a fleet environment
Analyzing operational processes and procedures
Developing and writing technical reports, databases, and spreadsheets
