Responsibilities

Provides technical direction within an assigned section or sub section of the clinical laboratory
As needed, performs prompt, accurate, and reliable laboratory procedures on patient specimens as well as to evaluate, interpret, and report test results to the appropriate patient care personnel

Clinical Laboratory Technologist LicenseBachelor’s degree in relevant fieldClinical lab experienceLaboratory tests monitoringTechnical direction

Required

BS or BA Must possess a Bachelor's degree verified by NYSDOE as meeting Bachelor's degree requirements for full licensure of a clinical lab technologist required
Lab Tech Limited Permit required
Lab Technician within 9 months required
NYS DOE - Full Clinical Laboratory Technologist License upon hire required OR laboratory technologist limited permit required not necessarily prior to hire, however prior to starting
If working with limited permit, must obtain full licensure within 9 months of hire
Requires 4 years clinical lab experience as a technologist
Requires 2 years within past 6 years performing laboratory tests for which position is responsible to monitor
Weight Requirement - Light (up to 20 lbs)
