Credit Officer

Responsibilities
Credit administration, financial analysis, monitoring and due diligence review of various financial participation packages and loan origination with district associations or commercial agency lenders
Development of loan participation and correspondent banking relationships with other lenders
Incumbent will also manage and service participation loan relationships as assigned and directed by supervisor, SVP Credit Analysis
Assist in the development and closing of complex loans by assisting with analysis and negotiation of such credits
Interprets, communicates, and provides guidance to associations regarding district lending policies and procedures
Interprets and acts upon various legal, title and other questions which may arise on loans
Assists in administering and developing lending programs, as well as developing and revising operating procedures relating to lending operations
Assist other bank personnel in completing coordinated projects as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in finance, business administration or other related business field or commensurate experience
A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years' experience in all facets of lending including the marketing, extension, administration and analysis of commercial credit
Experience and knowledge in the analysis of complex credits
Experience in negotiating and dealing with commercial type loans
Experience in working with financial institutions in structuring and evaluating various loan participations, credit relationships, and analysis of direct loans
Skill and knowledge in credit administration, financial analysis, the use of various loan analysis software programs, accounting standards, credit policies, and procedures
Excellent computer, interpersonal, public speaking and communication skills
Thorough knowledge of financial statement analysis, forecasting analysis, cash flow analysis, collateral analysis and payment performance in the areas of mortgage and commercial lending
Knowledgeable on credit and accounting standards, real estate appraisals, product and service marketing techniques and programs
Ability to accurately identify, measure and manage risk in loans, loan portfolios and direct loans
Time management skills with travel up to 15 percent
