Responsibilities
Operate Omnicell automation at customers’ sites according to Omnicell SOPs and best practices
Perform return and restocking duties to optimize the customer’s use of automation
Monitor and maintain formulary inventory levels to ensure availability of medications for daily dispensing
Responsible for prescribed maintenance of automation products and reporting unresolved issues to the Technical Assistance Center (TAC)
Perform daily and periodic cleaning of the equipment according to recommended best practices. Inspect robot cell daily for issues, wear, and functionality
Monitor system trends and report concerns. Resolve common system issues
Maintain a high level of communication to ensure proactive, solution-oriented problem identification and resolution
Responsible for basic troubleshooting and maintenance of automation equipment and reporting unresolved equipment issues to the appropriate helpdesk
Maintain a high level of communication with pharmacy operations manager and customer, to ensure proactive, solution-oriented problem identification and resolution
Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by aligning the Pharmacy Services Program to provide customer-focused support emphasizing quality, professionalism, and responsiveness, by acting as liaison between Omnicell and customer to assist with customer concerns
Conduct training and ensure completion of all required documents and compliance with all Pharmacy Services procedures and policies
Maintain fiscal responsibility for work-related expenses, complete expense reports, adhere to corporate card procedures, per Omnicell travel policies. Comply with reasonable procedures, policies and guidelines established by the Customer facility
Maintain national certification and all state required credentialing. Act as a resource or SME, for Omnicell team members and customers, providing training and/or assistance either on site or remotely to ensure optimal workflow
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or GED
An Active Missouri (MO) State Pharmacy Technician License from State Board of Pharmacy (If required by state)
An Active Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician Certificate (PTCB / NHA-CPhT/EXCPT)
Good organizational skills in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrate great customer service skills
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to work with mechanical equipment
Working knowledge of computer hardware, Microsoft Windows, Excel, and PowerPoint
A self-starter who is able to work independently and follow a detailed plan
Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to work well with customers and with employees at various levels
Preferred
Completion of an accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program
Two (2) years previous experience in hospital pharmacy automation
Basic Troubleshooting Skills with automation devices
