Account Operations Specialist
J Michael Consulting (JMC) is a health informatics consulting firm seeking a full-time Account Operations Specialist. In this role, you will provide operational support to Client Relationship Managers, enhance client onboarding experiences, and manage project financials to ensure smooth operations and client success.

Responsibilities
Assist with all aspects of a project's operation and finance lifecycle, from initial financial proposal through contract, including financial plan, invoices, billable closeout and post-project financial analysis and reporting
Engage and collaborate with Client Relationship Managers to identify operational and financial systems efficiencies that allow for better client sales, on-boarding experiences, contract/project management, and strong cashflow
Onboard/off-board new clients in accounting and finance systems to ensure accuracy and integrity of client accounts and projects
Report project financial Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to Project Management Office (PMO) and individual Project/Client Managers
Review, send, and follow up on client invoices, modifications to client invoices, payment schedules, and collection of past due amounts as needed
Manage and improve pricing and project expenditure (burn) monitoring systems
Contribute and report on individual and overall project financial performance trends
Collaborate with Client Relationship Managers on Client and Subcontractor contracting requirements; create and send contracts for signatures
Provide a consistent approach to resource and contract pricing, project margin and alignment with JMC margin targets, and management of day-to-day account tasks
Create and maintain positive relationships with internal client team, subcontractors, and client contacts
Provide status updates and maintains a close working and collaborative relationship with the VP of Service Delivery
Provide back-up to the VP of Operations in critical areas such as Human Resources, Finance, Operations, Contracts and Risk Management
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree preferably in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline or equivalent related and relevant work experience
Demonstrated Leadership experience in corporate Operations, Human Resources, Finance, or Contracts and Risk Management
Practical experience including accounts receivable, accounts payable, project management and profitability measurement, dashboards, and operational improvement
Experience working with government agencies and nongovernmental organizations in a finance, accounting, or consulting capacity
Experience with Unanet or similar resource allocation, assignment, and accounting/finance platforms desired
Preferred
Experience with, or documented familiarity, in the fields of public health a plus
Excellent organization, documentation, and follow-through skills
Ability to excel in a remote working team environment
Ability to be flexible and perform varying job tasks as assigned
Proficient in MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) as well as familiarity with timekeeping and documentation applications (Unanet, and Atlassian products respectively)
